Valentines Day? Love yourself first babe!

Before we get married, I’m starting to think we all need to marry ourselves first. What? Marry ourselves? Yep. We could say marriage vows to ourselves; repeat after me…

I am proud to take myself as my partner in life.

There has always been the kind of love and understanding which is only shared when there is true love.

I have helped me triumph over challenges presented,  encouraged my personal growth and boosted my self-esteem.

I have helped me become the person I am today and with my help, I will be a better person tomorrow.

I love the way I love and care for me.

I love the way I trust and believe in me.

I love the way I always look your best for me.

I love you and I love my life with me.

I commit myself to me.

Could you say this to yourself? If not, why not?

I made me quite teary writing it, because I know there have been many, many times in my life that I have hated myself, berated myself, harmed myself, put myself in danger.

We wouldn’t think of harming our best friends in this way, so why do we so easily treat ourselves so badly?

So this Valentines Day, I want you to think about yourself.

I want you to do something really special for yourself.

You may prepare a lovely meal, or treat yourself to a delicious healthy smoothie, a long soak in a bath, whatever floats your boat.

There is one thing you HAVE to do this Valentines Day.

You have to stand in front of the mirror and repeat 3 times; I love you.

I teach this as part of my 5 week ‘How To Create A Relaxed Home’ program, which starts on March the 6th.

It is an incredibly powerful self-love technique to help you create more self-love in your life.

What is the definition of self-love?

noun

noun: self-love

1regard for one’s own well-being and happiness.

Simple really.

Having respect and regard for your own well-being and your own happiness.

Like the air hosts say;

“Put your own mask on before helping others.”

There are many self-love techniques we can do, it just depends on what makes us light up.
