Hi there lovely,
Do you find around this time of the year, that everyone’s wanting more and more from you, including yourself?
There’s office parties, Nativity costumes, secret Santa, family anxiety, presents, money worries, etc.
I’m going to give you five super easy and quick ways to make sure your energy cup stays full… no-one likes an empty glass!
- Practise your calming breathing techniques when you are calm, so that when the stress triggers come along, you know exactly what to do. There are heaps to choose from on my Youtube channel – the quickest one is:
3 breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Here’s a link to my channel:
2. Mindful meditation. Now I can hear you saying…
“I don’t have time to do that!”
It only takes a few minutes. Think of it like putting ‘wellness deposits’ into your bank account. The more you deposit, the more you can draw from when the s**t hits the fan.
I have lots and lots of techniques for you, but one that you may remember easily is the STOP technique.
T: take a breath
O: observe what is happening
P: proceed with mindful awareness
This is a really quick technique to take the emotional edge off the encounter and you’ll be able to make clearer decisions. Again, there are ALOT more free mindfulness techniques on my Youtube channel.
3. Eat well.
Your body is precious, really precious. I know we are all going to eat some rubbish at Christmas time, but I wonder if we can eat more yummy seasonal fruit and vegetables than cake and lard.
I’ve put together a free Christmas recipe book for you:
Check it out here: http://bit.ly/23healthychristmasrecipes
4. Allow your Christmas presents to bring out your best self.
I don’t know about you, but I have to buy my own Christmas presents and I always get something that will keep on giving, like this: http://bit.ly/relax22Jan
5. Legs up the wall.
This is my all time favourite yoga pose.
5 minutes of this pose will give you an equivalent of 20 minutes deep rest, 20 minutes of it, will give you an hour.
Pop yourself into this pose each day after lunch (the rest of the world has a siesta, why don’t we?) and you’ll be able to tackle just about anything for the rest of the day.
I hope this help you gets through some of the more tricky times of your holiday season.
Let me know how you manage to get through?
With love and light,
